Turkey Day

So this is the first Thanksgiving in a looooong time that I did not eat turkey. It wasn't hard to resist. I have been meet free for at least a month now and my mouth did not even water when meat was served at dinner this year. Still working on getting rid of the big three for me though----eggs, milk chocolate and fish. I probably had some fish about twice in the last two weeks though so I am almost done with that one. I need to start to add some exercise to my regimen. I am trying to lead a completely healthy lifestyle and that should include exercising on a regular basis right?  I am starting a yoga class next month so that should help to move my spirit in the way I want to move it.

Really?

Update on becoming a vegan.
Three things I need to discontinue to consume: fish, eggs, and milk. Like I have previously posted I was able to get rid of meat. These three things are going to be a struggle to get rid of. If I lived by myself, it would not be difficult to get rid of these things. However when you have a family who consumes these things, it is sometimes hard to pass up. Meat was easy to give up after watching this video, since I don't eat pork at all. If someone could give me suggestions about how to give up those three things, I would really appreciate it.

Cutting out fish

This week I decided to cut out fish. I realize now that I don't eat that much fish anyway. Now I am giving myself two weeks to cut out eggs. Then next I am going for the gusto--cutting out milk and all milk products. This part of my transition is going to be the most difficult because if I don't love any other food in the the world, I absolutely love, love, love chocolate. I know I will be able to do it though. Today

I'm taking this vegan thing one day at a time. For the most part I have been very good. I cut out meat and eggs in my diet. I am working on getting fish, cheese, milk chocolate and sugar completely out of my diet. I believe starting Monday(11-14-2011), I will cut fish out of my diet. Let's see how that goes:)
